Secondary School

Grade 7 to Grade 12 Curriculum

In Key Stage 3 (Grade 7 – Grade 9), history and geography are taught discretely and the social and cultural curriculum is addressed through a mixture of assigned time and mapped activities taking place within-subject programmes. Again, this approach is enhanced in assemblies, through clubs and societies, and with termly cross-curricular challenges for students to engage with, individually and in groups.

Beaconhouse A-Level programme i.e. the Key Stage 4 (Grade 9 & Grade 10) and Key Stage 5 (Grade 11 & Grade 12) supports students in achieving their full potential while preparing them for the best universities in the world. It strives to nurture curiosity, interest and passion for each subject through an experienced cohortal staff who employs contemporary teaching methods and a focus on important global issues. They are well-supported through sound preparation for securing admissions into the top national and international universities.

Our teaching methods include class projects, group work, independent research, discussions, scientific experimentation, social visits and technology-based simulations. The availability of supplementary resources such as published journal articles, case studies and projects are valuable sources which would help to encourage development of in-depth understanding of various topics.

At Beaconhouse, each student is provided with numerous avenues that help them in acquiring the right skills for life in university and their professional careers. Whether the subject demands structured taste or creative insights. Beaconhouse believes in providing the required level of support for a student to succeed as an independent learner.
